FLORIDA — A Powerball ticket sold in Florida matched four white balls and the Powerball to win a $50,000 prize in Saturday night’s drawing.
The winning numbers for the May 30 Powerball drawing were 1, 27, 35, 44 and 52, with the Powerball number 12. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.
No information was immediately available on where in Florida the winning ticket was purchased.
The estimated jackpot for Saturday’s drawing was $170 million, with an estimated cash value of $75.9 million at the time of the drawing.
Powerball drawings are held three times a week, on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights. Players win prizes by matching selected numbers, with larger prizes awarded for matching more numbers, including the Powerball.
Lottery officials encourage players to check their tickets carefully and sign the back of any winning ticket before claiming a prize.
