Thousands without power in Ohio

OHIO — Thousands of Ohio residents are currently without electricity Saturday morning, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.

As of the most recent update, 6,845 customers across the state are without power out of more than 5.47 million tracked customers. The outages currently affect about 0.12% of Ohio customers monitored by the service.

Cuyahoga County currently has the highest number of outages in the state, with 3,686 customers without electricity. Lucas County reports 938 outages, followed by Ashtabula County with 898 and Lawrence County with 450. Summit County has 177 customers without power, while Franklin County reports 169 outages.

Among utility providers, Cleveland Public Power currently reports 3,515 customers without service, the highest total among Ohio utilities. FirstEnergy reports 2,373 outages, while American Electric Power Ohio has 847 customers affected. Duke Energy reports 92 outages, and AES Ohio reports 14.

Ohio currently ranks fourth in the nation for the total number of customers without power and 10th nationwide for the percentage of customers affected, according to PowerOutage.us.

Utility crews are continuing restoration efforts as outages remain active across portions of the state Saturday morning.
