
TEXAS — One person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting during a large party early Saturday morning in northeast Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded around 2:23 a.m. to the 6600 block of Rubilee Avenue near Smith Road and Old Humble Road following reports of a shooting.
When deputies arrived, investigators found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities said one man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two additional victims were transported to a hospital for treatment. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said both are expected to survive their injuries.
Crime Scene Investigators and Homicide Detectives responded to process the scene and begin investigating what led to the gunfire.
No information about the victims’ identities or any possible suspects was immediately released.
The shooting remains under investigation.
