TEXAS — A fatal overnight crash shut down all southbound lanes of Interstate 35E at Ewing Avenue early Saturday, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported the crash at approximately 1 a.m.
Dallas Fire-Rescue said crews were dispatched to the scene around 1:26 a.m. for a two-vehicle crash. According to officials, one of the vehicles rolled over a guardrail, leaving victims at the bottom of a hill.
At least one person was killed in the crash, authorities said.
Dallas Fire-Rescue reported that at least three people were transported to area hospitals following the collision. Information on their conditions was not immediately available.
The crash forced the closure of all southbound lanes of I-35E at Ewing Avenue as emergency crews responded and investigators worked at the scene.
Additional details about the victims and the circumstances leading up to the crash have not yet been released.
