LOUISIANA — A Sulphur couple has been arrested after deputies said they and their three young children tested positive for methamphetamine.
According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, Christopher Casey Romero, 36, and Veronica Kay Ancelet, 27, were arrested Wednesday following an investigation involving their children, all of whom are under the age of 6.
Deputies said the Department of Children and Family Services removed the children from the home and contacted law enforcement Friday after the children tested positive for methamphetamine.
Following the investigation, Romero and Ancelet were each charged with three counts of cruelty to juveniles.
Authorities said both are being held on $600,000 bonds.
