TENNESSEE — Several ounces of methamphetamine, marijuana and promethazine were seized following a joint drug investigation in Smyrna, according to the La Vergne Police Department.
Police said a joint operation between the La Vergne Police Department and Smyrna Police Department led to two arrests after officers searched a home earlier this month.
During the search, investigators said they recovered about 2 ounces of crystal methamphetamine, 2 ounces of marijuana and 8 ounces of promethazine.
Authorities said one of the suspects is facing multiple drug charges, while the second suspect was charged with maintaining a dwelling for drug use. The names of those arrested were not immediately released.
“This investigation highlights the strong working relationship between the La Vergne Police Department and Smyrna Police Department,” La Vergne police said in a statement. “Criminal activity does not stop at city limits, and neither does our commitment to protecting our communities.”
