SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was injured after two personal boats collided near Bird Island in the North Myrtle Beach area Monday afternoon, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.
Crews responded to the crash just after 3:45 p.m. near Bird Island, where officials said the two boats had collided.
One person was safely brought to land and transported to a hospital for treatment, HCFR said. The extent of the person’s injuries was not immediately released.
No additional information about the cause of the crash or the number of people involved was immediately available.
