FLORIDA — A Palm Coast woman was arrested on a DUI charge following a fatal crash early Monday on Interstate 95 in Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 1:05 a.m. near mile marker 204, south of State Road 528.
Investigators said a 24-year-old Rockledge man was driving a 2018 Infiniti Q50 southbound in the center lane when the vehicle traveled off the roadway onto the inside paved shoulder and struck a guardrail.
According to FHP, debris from the crash then struck a 2026 Volkswagen Taos traveling behind the Infiniti in the same lane.
The Rockledge man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of family members.
Authorities said the driver of the Volkswagen, identified as 49-year-old Cynthia Willis of Palm Coast, and a 4-year-old passenger were not injured.
Following the crash, Willis was arrested for DUI and booked into the Brevard County Jail, troopers said.
The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
