Missing person found dead in Kentucky

KENTUCKY — Police in Northern Kentucky say missing Northern Kentucky University student Murry Foust has been found dead after nearly a month of searching.

According to the Wilder Police Department, Foust’s body was found over the weekend at 1 Steel Plant Road in Wilder.

Foust, a 22-year-old NKU student, was reported missing on April 27 after last being seen walking in the Latonia neighborhood of Covington.

Authorities said there were no immediate signs of foul play. The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Campbell County Coroner’s Office following an autopsy.

Police said the body was discovered after an independently organized search party reported the finding Sunday. Investigators from multiple agencies continue processing the scene.

In a statement, the Covington Police Department extended condolences to Foust’s family and thanked community members who assisted in the search efforts.

Northern Kentucky University also released a statement expressing grief over Foust’s death and said counseling resources would be available for students and staff.
