MICHIGAN — A man was killed in a shooting early Sunday morning on South Division Avenue in Grand Rapids, according to police.
Grand Rapids police said officers responded around 1:40 a.m. to the 1900 block of South Division Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting in the area.
Investigators said an adult male victim was taken by a private vehicle to a local hospital, where he died a short time later.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or provided information about possible suspects.

The shooting happened about two miles north of another deadly act of violence earlier that morning in Grand Rapids, where an 18-year-old man was fatally stabbed. Police are still searching for suspects in that case as well.
