
SOUTH CAROLINA — A driver was killed Saturday evening in a crash near Kershaw, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 601 near Little Dude Avenue in Lancaster County.
Investigators said a 2006 Lexus GS 300 was traveling northbound when it went off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
