
PENNSYLVANIA — One man was killed Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle along Interstate 81 in Luzerne County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash happened just before 7 a.m. in Hazle Township near mile marker 140 on Interstate 81.
Investigators said a semi-truck driven by 58-year-old Jesus Montell Rincon, of Clayton, was disabled on the shoulder of the interstate. Police said Montell Rincon was outside the truck, standing between the cab and the roadway, when the incident occurred.
Authorities said a Toyota Camry traveling northbound struck Montell Rincon.
Montell Rincon was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
