MISSOURI — A 15-year-old girl from Joplin died Saturday morning following an ATV crash in Dade County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened at about 11:15 a.m. on Dade 52, approximately six miles north of Greenfield.
Investigators said the teen was driving an ATV eastbound when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said she was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. Her identity has not been released, and next of kin have been notified.
The fatal crash marks Troop D’s 50th traffic fatality of 2026, according to the highway patrol.
