GEORGIA — Atlanta police are asking for the public’s help in locating two missing children who authorities said were abducted by their mother early Saturday morning.
According to police, 8-year-old Tyshawn Keys and 9-year-old Samyiah Keys were taken from their guardian by their mother, 33-year-old Bernice Keys.
Investigators said the children were last seen leaving the 400 block of Carey Drive SE in a dark gray Jeep SUV with an unknown license plate.
An Amber Alert has been issued for both children, and detectives with the Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide and Special Victims Unit are working to secure arrest warrants for Bernice Keys.
Police have not released additional details about where the mother and children may be headed.
Anyone with information about their whereabouts is urged to contact Atlanta police immediately.
