TEXAS — One person was killed and another person was hospitalized after a rollover crash Friday morning on Highway 31 in Smith County, according to authorities.
Smith County Emergency Services District No. 2 said the crash happened on Highway 31 near Surrey Trail and County Road 279 in Tyler.
Officials said a truck rolled over in the area. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another person was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
No additional information about the victims or what caused the rollover had been released as of Friday morning.
