FLORIDA — Four people were arrested after deputies said a vape shop break-in in northeast Florida was linked to a string of burglaries across multiple counties.
According to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, the burglary happened around 3 a.m. on April 29 at Golden Innovape on Durbin Pavilion Drive in Julington Creek.
Surveillance video showed several masked individuals throwing a large piece of concrete through the front window before entering the business. Authorities said two teenagers and 18-year-old Jordan Raysor stole merchandise and cash from the store.
Investigators said another teenager acted as the getaway driver while an unidentified person remained outside the business armed with a firearm.
Video from the scene showed the suspects running back out through the shattered glass after the burglary.
The sheriff’s office said the group is believed to be connected to several burglaries reported this year in Duval and St. Johns counties.
Deputies later located the vehicle believed to have been used during the incident and arrested four suspects. They are facing charges including armed burglary, grand theft and criminal mischief.
Authorities said the investigation remains active.
