One person shot during carjacking in Michigan, police searching for suspects

MICHIGAN — A woman was shot during a carjacking Tuesday evening in Oakland County, and the suspects remain at large, authorities said.

The incident happened around 5:43 p.m. near the Old Navy store in the Baldwin Commons Plaza in Orion Township, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said the woman was shot during the carjacking. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Authorities said the suspects fled the scene before deputies arrived. Police have not released descriptions of the suspects or the vehicle involved.

Detectives are continuing to gather information and work to identify those responsible.
