
KENTUCKY — A crash has shut down all lanes of Interstate 64 East near downtown Louisville on Tuesday evening, causing major traffic delays in the area.
According to TRIMARC, the crash happened around 5:55 p.m. near the 9th Street exit. Two vehicles were involved in the crash, though officials have not released details about what led up to the collision.
It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured.
The eastbound lanes of I-64 were closed for about an hour as emergency crews responded to the scene and worked to clear the roadway. Traffic was diverted off the interstate at the 9th Street ramp during the closure.
The roadway has since reopened.
