
NORTH CAROLINA — A man is facing multiple charges after police say he robbed a GameStop store in Winston-Salem while armed with a machete.
According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, officers responded to the GameStop location on Hanes Mall Boulevard after receiving reports of an armed robbery.
Investigators said the suspect entered the store carrying a machete and stole about $900 worth of merchandise before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported.
Police later identified the suspect as 26-year-old Aaron Luis Medina.
Medina was arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and drug-related offenses, according to authorities.
Police said the stolen merchandise was recovered. The investigation remains ongoing.
