OHIO — A woman was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash involving a semitruck in Columbiana County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 10 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 344 and Cunningham Road (State Route 765) in Perry Township.
Investigators said Yolanda Medina Matos, 58, was driving south on Cunningham Road when she failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a westbound semitruck on Route 344.
Matos was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The driver of the semitruck was treated as a precaution and was not reported injured.
