VIRGINIA — A man was hospitalized after a shooting early Sunday morning in Roanoke following a fight involving several people, according to police.
The Roanoke Police Department said officers responded to the 2600 block of Peters Creek Road NW around 2:13 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound that authorities described as non-life-threatening. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators said a fight involving multiple men broke out in a parking lot before the shooting occurred.
Police have not identified a suspect, and the investigation remains ongoing.
