OHIO — A woman was killed Wednesday morning in an incident that led to an hours-long search for a suspect who was later arrested in West Virginia, according to police.
The incident happened in the 300 block of West Ely Street. Lt. Christopher McCord said authorities believe 50-year-old Robert Ross killed his wife, Ashley Ross.
Police obtained a warrant for Robert Ross’ arrest and enlisted the assistance of the United States Marshals Service to help locate him.
Authorities said Ross was found in West Virginia Wednesday afternoon. According to police, a U.S. Marshals Task Force assisting with the search contacted a local task force in the area where Ross was believed to be located.
After searching the area, investigators located Ross’ vehicle with him inside and conducted a traffic stop with assistance from the local police department. Police said Ross was taken into custody without incident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
