
OHIO — A man was killed Wednesday morning following a head-on collision in rural Ohio, according to authorities.
Police and emergency crews responded to the crash around 6:30 a.m. near milepost four on State Route 15 in Monroe Township.
Officials said 33-year-old Dannie Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver involved in the crash was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
According to a preliminary investigation, Davis was traveling westbound on SR 15 when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle head-on.
Investigators said both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.
Authorities also stated that drug impairment is suspected to have played a role in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
