PENNSYLVANIA — The Allegheny County Bomb Squad responded Wednesday morning to what authorities described as an “emergency situation” at the Walmart and Giant Eagle shopping center in Bethel Park.
According to the Bethel Park Police Department, an active investigation is underway at the shopping center along Library Road. Police said the roadway has been closed in the area as officers continue to investigate.
Emergency dispatches referred to the incident as an emergency situation, though officials have not yet released additional details about the nature of the call.
Authorities have not reported any injuries, evacuations or arrests as of Wednesday morning.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area while the investigation remains active.
