INDIANA — One person is dead following a crash on Indianapolis’ northeast side Monday afternoon, according to police.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded around 2:45 p.m. to the 4300 block of North German Church Road after receiving reports of a possible fatal crash in the area.
Police said the initial dispatch indicated that a person was down before the incident was later upgraded.
IMPD has since confirmed the crash is being investigated as a fatal incident. Authorities have not yet released additional details, including how many vehicles were involved or the identity of the person killed.
The investigation remains ongoing.
