VIRGINIA — A Richmond woman was killed early Sunday in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 in Stafford County, according to Virginia State Police.

The crash happened around 1:06 a.m. on the northbound side of I-95 near the 146-mile marker.

Investigators said a 2023 Freightliner tractor-trailer had stopped in the center lane because of an unrelated crash when a 2022 Subaru crashed into the rear of the truck.

State police identified the driver of the Subaru as Tamara Eddy, 24, of Richmond. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, authorities said.

The crash remains under investigation.
