GEORGIA — A man was hospitalized after police said he was shot by his girlfriend during a domestic dispute early Sunday morning in southwest Atlanta.
According to Atlanta police, officers responded around 1:55 a.m. to a report of a person shot in the 200 block of Moreland Avenue SW.
When officers arrived, they found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. Police said the victim was alert, conscious and breathing before he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators said the man was allegedly shot by his girlfriend. After the shooting, the woman reportedly fled the scene in a white Dodge Charger with another man.
Authorities have not released the identities of those involved.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
