
ALABAMA — A delivery truck driver was killed Thursday in a head-on collision involving two commercial vehicles in Leeds, according to authorities.
The crash happened May 7 on Thornton Avenue Northeast at Dorrough Street Northeast.
Leeds Police identified the victim as 31-year-old Davonte Trashod Wilson of Jemison.
According to Leeds Police Chief Paul Irwin, Wilson was driving a truck for Cintas at the time of the crash. The other vehicle involved was a plumber truck.
Authorities said the Leeds Police Department is investigating the crash. No additional information about the other driver or possible injuries has been released.
WBRC reported it is working to contact Cintas regarding the incident.
