OHIO — A night of traditional Bingo in West Virginia ended with a life-changing win for a local resident, who scored a $100,000 jackpot on the Ohio Lottery’s Bingo 50X scratch-off game.
After enjoying a classic game of Bingo, Rick visited Lucasville 1st Stop Store #104 at 10938 State Route 104 to try his luck on several lottery tickets.
Among those was the Bingo 50X scratch-off, a $10 game that boasts a top prize of $500,000.
According to Rick, he initially found winners of $25 and $50, prompting him to cash them in with a simple instruction to “give me four.”
To his surprise, one of those four tickets was a $100,000 winner.
“I was freaking out. I still don’t think it’s true,” Rick said, adding that the shock of his win even caused him to hit his head on the store’s ceiling in excitement. After federal and state taxes of 28 percent were deducted, he will receive roughly $72,000.
Rick, who stands 6’4”, now plans to invest his newfound fortune.
The Ohio Lottery has stated that as of February 3, three top prizes remain available in the Bingo 50X game.
Bingo 50X is among the numerous scratch-off games available through the Ohio Lottery, which has contributed over $33 billion to education since 1974.
