
ALABAMA — Two Huntsville men were arrested on drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop in Hartselle led officers to discover methamphetamine inside their vehicle, according to police.
The traffic stop happened around 9:25 p.m. May 5 on Interstate 65 near Thompson Road.
According to the Hartselle Police Department, an officer stopped a vehicle traveling north on I-65 after observing traffic violations.
During the stop, officers noticed signs of possible illegal drug activity and conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle.
Police said the search resulted in the seizure of approximately 564 grams of methamphetamine, suspected GHB, drug paraphernalia and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Authorities identified the suspects as 45-year-old Jack Camariotes III and 38-year-old Jayme Neeley, both of Huntsville.
Both men were arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine. They are being held in the Morgan County Jail on $200,000 bonds, according to police.
