VIRGINIA — Chesapeake Police are searching for a missing woman who was last seen Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

Police said 37-year-old Shannon Rogers was last seen around 9 a.m. on May 5 in the 4600 block of Old Battlefield Boulevard South.

Rogers is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She wears pink-rimmed glasses and has a flower tattoo on her shoulder, along with the phrase “I will rise” tattooed on her forearm.

Authorities said she was last seen wearing jeans, a red long-sleeved shirt, a gray zip-up sweater, and white shoes.

Investigators noted that Rogers is believed to be experiencing a mental health crisis and may think people are after her. Police also said she has schizophrenia and may not have access to her prescribed medications.

Rogers may be accompanied by her white Bichon poodle service dog named Lincoln, which family members said she would not leave behind.

Anyone with information about Rogers’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Chesapeake Police Department at 757-382-6161.

The search remains ongoing.
