
NORTH CAROLINA — Four people, including a juvenile, were arrested after a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department traffic stop led officers to multiple firearms, including one reported stolen and another modified with a switch device, police said.
According to CMPD, officers stopped a vehicle because of a revoked tag. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, officers recovered four firearms.
Police said Rodney Lamar Monteith Jr., 18, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon of mass destruction.
Jaheim Jayqwan Murphy, 22, and Kishawn Shamarcus Agee, 18, were each charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
A 17-year-old was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a minor, possession of a stolen firearm, and resist, delay and obstruct.
CMPD did not release the exact location of the traffic stop or when it occurred. The investigation remains ongoing.
