
PENNSYLVANIA — A 25-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Franklin County last month, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. on April 13 along the 9500 block of Wayne Highway in Quincy Township. Investigators said the driver lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons.
Police reported that the vehicle struck a guiderail off the roadway before crashing into a utility pole and overturning.
Authorities identified the victim as 25-year-old Cassie Sheeder, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger, identified as 38-year-old Dwaine Heinbaugh Jr., was transported to Meritus Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The driver, 64-year-old William Kopp, suffered minor injuries and was treated at Waynesboro Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
