Police searching for missing person with schizophrenia in Georgia

GEORGIA — Police are searching for a missing man in Dawson who is reported to have schizophrenia, according to the Dawson Police Department.

Authorities said Brandon Dowing, who is in his early 20s, was reported missing on Tuesday, May 5. He was last seen at the Aspire Center in Dawson and was later spotted walking east along Highway 20.

Dowing is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. Officials said he was last seen wearing a gray shirt, gray shorts and black sneakers.

Police warn that Dowing may be disoriented and could be in need of assistance.

The case remains under investigation.
