MICHIGAN — A 50-year-old man was found dead Saturday evening in the Tittabawassee River near a Midland dam, according to police.
Officers were called around 5:30 p.m. on May 2 to the area near the Dow Dam after receiving a report of an unmanned kayak stuck under the structure, the Midland Police Department said.
When officers arrived, they discovered a body lodged under the dam. The individual was recovered and identified as a 50-year-old man from Midland.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the man’s name is being withheld pending notification of family.
The incident remains under investigation.
