LOUISIANA — Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead early Saturday morning in New Orleans, authorities said.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, officers responded around 4:30 a.m. to a report of a suspicious person in the Little Woods neighborhood. When they arrived at the scene, near the intersection of West Laverne Street and Erin Drive, they found an adult man unresponsive.
Emergency medical services pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Investigators said the case is being treated as a homicide, though the exact cause of death has not yet been determined. No suspects have been identified.
The investigation remains ongoing.
