
TEXAS — A 30-year-old man was arrested Thursday night following a reported street racing incident in Marshall, according to police.
Authorities with the Marshall Police Department said officers responded to the area of West Pinecrest Drive and Bomar Street around 10 p.m. on April 30 after receiving reports of vehicles racing on the roadway.
When officers arrived, they observed two cars actively racing. Police said one of the vehicles attempted to flee the scene but was stopped after a short pursuit.
The driver, identified as Timothy Dawon Perry, was taken into custody. He has been charged with racing on a highway and driving while his license was invalid with previous convictions.
According to officials, Perry was also found to have two outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest. His vehicle was impounded.
The incident remains under investigation, and additional details may be released as they become available.
