NORTH CAROLINA — A large overnight party at an equestrian farm in Iredell County turned chaotic early Friday morning, prompting officials to declare a mass casualty incident, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency crews were dispatched to Healing Chamber Farms on Archer Road after receiving a report of an unconscious person. When first responders arrived, they encountered a large crowd and numerous individuals requiring medical attention.

Authorities said the scale of the situation led officials to issue a mass casualty declaration as crews worked to assist those in need. Iredell County EMS, fire personnel and sheriff’s deputies all responded to the scene.

According to information posted online, the event began around 9 p.m. on April 30 and was scheduled to end at 2 a.m. on May 1. More than 3,500 people were reportedly invited, though officials have not confirmed how many attended.

As of Friday afternoon, the number of people transported to hospitals and the severity of injuries had not been released. Officials said the investigation remains ongoing.

No arrests have been announced, but authorities say charges could be filed as investigators continue to review what led to the incident.

Healing Chamber Farms is a 60-acre property in Davidson that hosts equestrian activities and rents space for events and retreats.
