SOUTH CAROLINA — Authorities in Greenville County are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing woman who is believed to be armed and potentially dangerous.
According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Brandi Nelms was last seen around 8:20 a.m. Friday in the area of South Piedmont Highway and Oil Mill Road. Deputies said she was reported missing shortly afterward.
Investigators say Nelms had reportedly cut her wrist before leaving her tent and walking away from the area. She is believed to be armed with a razor blade.
Nelms was last seen wearing a white shirt, green shorts and carrying a light green backpack, according to deputies.
Authorities are urging the public not to approach her if she is spotted. Instead, anyone who sees Nelms or has information about her whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
The situation remains under investigation.
