TENNESSEE — A body was discovered Thursday at Fort Dickerson Quarry in Knoxville, according to officials.
The Knoxville Fire Department confirmed the discovery, and the Knoxville Police Department is leading the investigation.
Authorities said the body is believed to be that of an unidentified woman. Officials have not released her identity.
Police are asking the public to avoid the area as officers continue their investigation.
