TEXAS — A joint law enforcement operation in Houston led to the seizure of dozens of firearms and large quantities of illegal drugs, according to police.
Authorities said the operation involved the Houston Police Department’s Gang, Narcotics and South Gessner divisions, along with the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration and Texas state troopers.
During the raid, investigators recovered approximately 31 firearms, including pistols and rifles. Police said some of the weapons included a gold-plated pistol and rifle.
Officers also seized large amounts of methamphetamine and other illegal drugs. Authorities did not release the exact quantity of drugs recovered or the location of the raid, citing the ongoing investigation.
Police said two suspects were taken into custody on multiple charges, though specific charges have not been disclosed.
The investigation remains ongoing.
