13 people arrested following drug operation in Tennessee

TENNESSEE — Thirteen people have been arrested following a major drug roundup in Putnam County, while four additional suspects remain at large, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the arrests stem from indictments handed down on April 13 after months of undercover investigations into suspected drug activity across the county. Three days later, multiple agencies launched “Operation Spring Cleaning,” targeting more than a dozen individuals.

The operation involved the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Tennessee Department of Correction and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas program.

Officials said the suspects face a range of charges related to the manufacture, delivery and sale of methamphetamine, as well as firearm-related offenses tied to drug activity.

Among those arrested was 43-year-old Brandon Jones, who authorities said is facing multiple charges, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and drug trafficking-related offenses. Deputies used a K-9 unit to take Jones into custody after he initially refused to surrender.

Sheriff Eddie Farris said many of those arrested have prior histories involving illegal drug activity, noting that the department continues to prioritize drug enforcement due to its connection to other crimes in the community.

Investigators are still searching for four suspects who have been indicted on drug charges, including Tradonna Suzanne Horn, Stephanie Marie Hill, Jeffery Allen Madewell and William Justin Scott Doss.

Anyone with information about the suspects’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation remains ongoing.
