FLORIDA — One person was killed in an overnight crash in Pembroke Park, authorities said.
The crash occurred late Monday along West Hallandale Beach Boulevard near 48th Avenue. A Local 10 News crew at the scene shortly after 11:30 p.m. observed a tarp covering a body in the roadway.
Investigators also found debris scattered across the area, along with a bicycle and gloves believed to belong to responding personnel.
Details about how the crash occurred have not been released. Authorities have not said whether a vehicle was involved, though no car was seen at the scene when crews arrived.
Police were seen speaking with witnesses at a nearby laundromat as they worked to piece together what happened.
The roadway has since reopened, but the investigation remains ongoing.
