OHIO — A woman is in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash early Tuesday morning in downtown Cleveland, according to authorities.
Police said the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of West 9th Street.
When officers arrived, a 31-year-old woman told them she had been involved in an argument with a man she knew. Investigators said the man then got into a car and struck her before fleeing the scene.
Cleveland EMS transported the woman to MetroHealth Medical Center, where she was listed in serious condition.
Police said the suspect left the area following the crash. No information about the suspect has been released.
The incident remains under investigation by Cleveland police. Anyone with information is urged to contact authorities.
