OHIO — A Toledo woman scored a triple win after hitting the Ohio Lottery’s Pick 5 drawing three times in a single day, according to lottery officials.

The woman purchased three separate $1 tickets for the April 20 midday drawing at Tamz Mart on Eleanor Avenue in Toledo. The winning numbers were 2-1-7-4-7.

She told lottery officials she chose the numbers based on her mother’s birthday — February 17, 1947 — calling the win “a gift from Mom.”

Each winning ticket was worth $50,000, bringing her total prize to $150,000.

After state and federal taxes totaling 26.75%, the woman will take home $109,875.

She said she plans to use the money to pay off bills and save, while also considering a way to treat herself.

Pick 5 drawings are held daily at 12:29 p.m. and 7:29 p.m., with odds of matching all five numbers at 1 in 100,000, according to the Ohio Lottery.

Since its inception in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $34 billion to education.
