INDIANA — A man was hospitalized early Monday morning after a shooting at a home near Greensburg Community High School, according to police.
Officers with the Greensburg Police Department responded around 4 a.m. to a residence in the 1000 block of East North Street, located about a quarter-mile south of the high school near Pirate Park.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital for treatment. His condition has not been released.
Investigators say the shooting occurred after another man arrived at the home and got into a fight with the victim. The altercation escalated, leading to the shooting.
Police said there is no known threat to the community.
