VIRGINIA — A man has died after being struck in a crash involving a pedestrian Saturday night in Suffolk, according to police.
The Suffolk Police Department said the crash happened around 9:12 p.m. at the intersection of Bridge Road and Bennetts Creek Lane.
When officers arrived, they found a man in critical condition. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, officials said. The driver remained at the scene.
The victim later died from his injuries at the hospital. He has been identified as 40-year-old Suffolk resident Aaron Geister.
The crash remains under investigation.
