FLORIDA — Two people were killed and four others were seriously injured in a late-night crash in Santa Rosa County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened around 11:25 p.m. Friday at the intersection of American Farms Road and Cornfield Way in the Milton area.

Investigators said a pickup truck carrying six people was traveling east on Cornfield Way when it collided with an SUV traveling north on American Farms Road.

After the collision, the pickup truck was redirected, struck trees along the shoulder and overturned, authorities said.

Two passengers in the pickup were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup, a 20-year-old Milton man, suffered serious injuries. Other passengers — including a 19-year-old woman listed in critical condition and two men ages 18 and 19 — were also seriously hurt.

The driver of the SUV, a 57-year-old Milton woman, sustained minor injuries. No other occupants were reported in that vehicle.

The Florida Highway Patrol’s Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash.
