TENNESSEE — A drug raid in Ripley led to the seizure of fentanyl, methamphetamine and other illegal substances, along with the arrest of one man, according to authorities.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office said deputies, along with officers and agents from multiple agencies, executed search warrants at three properties in Ripley.

During the investigation, officials said they recovered 17.7 grams of fentanyl, 2.75 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, various illegally pressed pills and an AR-style pistol.

Authorities said that while searching one of the locations, officers saw a man jump from a second-story window. He was taken into custody without incident and later identified as Dezmon Whitelow.

Whitelow is facing multiple charges, including violations of the controlled substances act and evading arrest, according to the sheriff’s office.

“This investigation is far from over. If you are involved in the distribution of illegal drugs, we will see you at a date and time of our choosing,” Sheriff Brian Kelley said.

The investigation remains ongoing.
