OHIO — A man from Wickliffe, Ohio is celebrating a lottery win of more than $140,000 after playing numbers based on family birthdays, according to the Ohio Lottery.

Lottery officials said the man purchased three Rolling Cash 5 lottery game tickets for the April 11, 2026 drawing and initially forgot to check them. When he later reviewed his numbers, he discovered he had won the jackpot.

The winner received $140,000 as the sole jackpot winner, along with an additional $300 prize for matching four out of five numbers. After required federal and state taxes totaling 26.75%, his take-home amount is $102,769.75.

The winning numbers for the drawing were 3-3-17-22-27. The winner told lottery officials he selected the numbers using his birthdate and the birthdays of four close family members.

He said he plans to keep the money in the bank for a few months while deciding how to use it. In the meantime, he intends to pay off bills and purchase a video game system to play online with family members.

The winning ticket was sold at Players Café, located at 17 West 5th Street in Columbus, Ohio.

According to the Ohio Lottery, the odds of matching all five numbers in Rolling Cash 5 are 1 in 575,757.
